SENATE AMENDMENT 4, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 SENATE BILL 315

SB315-SSA1-SA4,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB315-SSA1-SA4,1,4 1. Page 2, line 3: delete "providing a penalty and making an appropriation" and substitute "providing an exemption from rule-making authority and providing a penalty".

SB315-SSA1-SA4,1,5 2. Page 3, line 5: delete lines 5 to 11.

SB315-SSA1-SA4,1,8 3. Page 4, line 24: delete "that the department deems necessary" and substitute "that the department deems necessary specified by rule under s. 153.75 (1) (n)".

SB315-SSA1-SA4,1,9 4. Page 5, line 20: delete " (kx) (hg)" and substitute "(kx)".

SB315-SSA1-SA4,1,10 5. Page 7, line 22: after that line insert:

SB315-SSA1-SA4,1,11 " Section 24m. 153.07 (5) of the statutes is created to read:

SB315-SSA1-SA4,2,3 153.07 (5) The board shall approve the amounts of assessments that the department makes under s. 153.60 (1) for health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.".

SB315-SSA1-SA4,2,9 6. Page 12, line 16: delete "rule." and substitute "rule. The department shall obtain approval from the board for the amounts of assessments for health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. The department shall work together with the department of regulation and licensing to develop a mechanism for collecting assessments from health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.".

SB315-SSA1-SA4, s. 56r Section 56r. 440.03 (11m) of the statutes is created to read:

SB315-SSA1-SA4,2,19 440.03 (11m) The department shall work together with the department of health and family services to develop a mechanism for collecting assessments under s. 153.60 (1) from health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.".
