SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2, TO 1997 SENATE BILL 315

SB315-SSA2-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB315-SSA2-SA1,1,3 1. Page 6, line 3: delete "that the department deems necessary" and substitute "that the department deems necessary specified by rule under s. 153.75 (1) (n)".

SB315-SSA2-SA1,1,4 2. Page 9, line 8: after that line insert:

SB315-SSA2-SA1,1,5 " Section 28m. 153.07 (5) of the statutes is created to read:

SB315-SSA2-SA1,1,8 153.07 (5) The board shall approve the amounts of assessments that the department makes under s. 153.60 (1) for health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.".

Page 14, line 1: after " rule." insert "The department shall obtain approval from the board for the amounts of assessments for health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. The department shall work together with the department of regulation and licensing to develop a mechanism for collecting assessments from health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.".

SB315-SSA2-SA1,2,6 227.01 (13) (yt) Relates to the amounts of assessments that are made under s. 153.60 (1) for health care providers.

SB315-SSA2-SA1, s. 60r Section 60r. 440.03 (11m) of the statutes is created to read:

SB315-SSA2-SA1,2,11 440.03 (11m) The department shall work together with the department of health and family services to develop a mechanism for collecting assessments under s. 153.60 (1) from health care providers other than hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.".
