with the department of fish, wildlife, parks,
10and forestry for additional 10-year periods thereafter, notwithstanding the
11expiration of the term expressed therein, so long as the Wisconsin state department
12of the American Legion or any of the American Legion posts organized under s.
13188.08 maintains on such property structures which were constructed prior to May
1431, 1956, at the expense of the Wisconsin state department of the American Legion
15or any such post, for the purpose of the rehabilitation, restoration or recreation of
16veterans and their dependents of the Spanish-American war, the Philippine
17insurrection, the Mexican border service, World Wars I and II, the Korean conflict,
18the Vietnam war and Grenada, Lebanon, Panama, Somalia or a Middle East crisis
19under s. 45.34.

(12) Enforcement. If at any time it appears to the department that the
20lands are not being managed in accordance with this section it shall so advise the
21county forestry committee and the county clerk. If the condition persists the
22department may
proceed against the persons responsible for such noncompliance
23under s. 30.03 (4) order a hearing under ch. 227 concerning the noncompliance, and
24may request the hearing examiner to issue an order directing the responsible parties
1to perform or refrain from performing acts in order to remedy the noncompliance.
2If any person fails or neglects to obey an order, the department may request the
3attorney general to institute proceedings for the enforcement of the department's
4order in the name of the state. The proceedings shall be brought in the manner and
5with the effect of proceedings under s. 111.07 (7). No penalty may be imposed for
6violation of a hearing examiner's order under this subsection, but violation of a
7judgment enforcing the order may be punished in civil contempt proceedings.
