AB344-ASA1,1,3 1An Act to create 36.25 (46) and subchapter V of chapter 39 [precedes 39.81] of
2the statutes; relating to: requiring certain college students to be informed
3about meningococcal disease.

This substitute amendment differs from 2003 Assembly Bill 344 by requiring
only that the college or university provide detailed information on the risks
associated with meningococcal disease and the availability and effectiveness of
vaccines against the disease.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB344-ASA1, s. 1 4Section 1. 36.25 (46) of the statutes is created to read:
AB344-ASA1,2,25 36.25 (46) Meningococcal disease. The board shall provide detailed
6information on the risks associated with meningococcal disease and the availability
7and effectiveness of vaccines against the disease to each student, if he or she is at

1least 18 years old, or to the student's parent or guardian, if the student is a minor,
2before the student's initial occupancy of a dormitory or residence hall.
