SB44-SSA1-SA55,1,3 " Section 20b. 13.39 of the statutes is created to read:

SB44-SSA1-SA55,2,2 13.39 Payment by legislature of legal fees. The senate, assembly, or legislature, or a committee of the senate, assembly, or legislature, may not pay or reimburse or authorize the payment or reimbursement of legal fees for a legislator, former legislator, legislative employee, or former legislative employee or for the senate, assembly, or legislature, or a committee of the senate, assembly, or legislature, unless the senate and assembly adopt and concur in, by a vote of two-thirds of the members present and voting in each house, a joint resolution authorizing a single payment or reimbursement of legal fees for that one legislator or legislative employee or for the legislature, house, or committee.".
