SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO 2005 ASSEMBLY BILL 461

AB461-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB461-SA2,1,3 1. Page 2, line 3: delete "1988. The" and substitute "1988. (1) Except as provided in sub. (2) or (3), the".

AB461-SA2,1,4 2. Page 2, line 9: after that line insert:

AB461-SA2,1,11 "(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the governor's concurrence regarding a proposed gaming establishment of an Indian tribe if on the effective date of this act .... [revisor inserts date], a compact under s. 14.035 authorized the Indian tribe to have a specific number of gaming establishments and the Indian tribe has fewer than the specified number, except sub. (1) does apply if on the effective date of the act .... [revisor inserts date], the compact required all the specified number of gaming establishments to be within the exterior boundaries of the Indian tribe's reservation.

AB461-SA2,2,3 (3) Subsection (1) does not apply to the governor's concurrence regarding a proposed gaming establishment of an Indian tribe if on the effective date of this act .... [revisor inserts date], a compact under s. 14.035 refers to a potential gaming establishment for the Indian tribe in the city where the proposed gaming establishment is to be located.".
