AB875-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB875-AA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 5: delete "and exempting from certificate of number and
3registration requirements" and substitute ", certificates of number issued for".
AB875-AA1,1,5 42. Page 1, line 6: after "advertisements" insert ", and requiring the exercise of
5rule-making authority".
AB875-AA1,1,7 63. Page 2, line 13: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
7page 3, line 3, and substitute:
AB875-AA1,1,8 8" Section 3m. 30.52 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB875-AA1,2,29 30.52 (2) Certification and registration period. The Except as provided in
10sub. (3g), the
certification and registration period runs for 3 years, commencing on
11April 1 of the year in which the certificate of number or registration is issued and,
12unless sooner terminated or discontinued in accordance with this chapter, expiring

1on March 31 of the 3rd year after issuance. A certificate of number or registration
2is valid only for the period for which it is issued.
AB875-AA1, s. 4m 3Section 4m. 30.52 (3) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB875-AA1,2,74 30.52 (3) (a) Payment of fee required. A Except as provided in sub. (3g), a
5person who applies for the issuance or renewal of a certificate of number or
6registration shall pay the department the fee required under this subsection for the
7whole or any part of a certification and registration period.
AB875-AA1, s. 5m 8Section 5m. 30.52 (3g) of the statutes is created to read:
AB875-AA1,2,129 30.52 (3g) Exemption. (a) A boat that is present in this state and used
10exclusively as part of an advertisement or the manufacturer of the boat shall be
11issued a certificate of number for a period not to exceed 15 days. The department may
12not charge a fee for the issuance of a certificate of number under this paragraph.
AB875-AA1,2,1413 (b) The department shall promulgate rules for the issuance of certificates of
14number under par. (a).".
