SENATE AMENDMENT 4, TO 2005 SENATE BILL 331

SB331-SA4,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB331-SA4,1,2 1. Page 2, line 8: after that line insert:

SB331-SA4,1,3 " Section 3m. Nonstatutory provisions.

SB331-SA4,1,10 (1) Referendum. There shall be submitted to the vote of the electors at the general election in November 2006 the following question: "Shall sections 1, 2, and 3 of 2005 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), which eliminates the annual increase of the motor vehicle fuel tax rate, become law effective January 1, 2007?". If the question is approved by a majority of all votes cast on the question at the election, Sections 1, 2, and 3 of this act shall become law; otherwise, Sections 1, 2, and 3 of this act shall not take effect.

SB331-SA4, s. 3n Section 3n. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

SB331-SA4,2,2 (1) The treatment of sections 78.015 (1) and 78.12 (4) (a) 4. and (b) 2. takes effect on January 1, 2007, if the condition set forth in Section 3m (1) of this act is satisfied.".
