Section 2e. 5.15 (4) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

(4) (a) The division ordinance or resolution shall number all wards in the
5municipality in whole numbers in consecutive order, beginning with the number one,
6shall designate the polling place for each ward
or, in cities where wards are
7subdivided for voting purposes under sub. (6) (c), the polling places for each ward,
8and shall describe the boundaries of each ward consistent with the conventions set
9forth in s. 4.003. The ordinance or resolution shall be accompanied by a list of the
10block numbers used by the U.S. bureau of the census that are wholly or partly
11contained within each ward, with any block numbers partly contained within a ward
12identified, and a map of the municipality which illustrates the revised ward
13boundaries.

(6) (c) The governing body of a city having a population of more than
3500,000 may by ordinance enacted within the period prescribed in s. 5.25 (3) for the
4election to which the ordinance first applies provide that the electors of a ward within
5that city shall vote at more than one polling place established by the board of election
6commissioners for the territory in which the electors reside. The ordinance shall
7contain a specific description of the territory within the ward into which electors are
8subdivided for voting purposes. In such case, the original ward number shall
9continue to be utilized for all official purposes. If the governing body of a city enacts
10an ordinance under this paragraph, the governing body may by similar action within
11the same period preceding an election rescind the body's previous action effective
12with that election. The board of election commissioners shall transmit a copy of any
13ordinance enacted under this paragraph to the board and to the county clerk or board
14of election commissioners of each county in which the municipality is contained.

22a slip indicating the number of electors voting in person, number of absentee ballots
23deposited in the ballot box, and the total number of electors of each ward served by
24the polling place who voted at the election

(2) At each central counting location, a team of election officials

7all seals are intact, and thereupon shall open the container,
shall check the

shall compare the number of ballots so delivered against the total
9number of electors of each ward served by the polling place who voted

12ballots or record of the votes cast and deliver them to the technicians operating the

14and total number of electors shall be noted on a sheet furnished for that purpose and
