ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2005 SENATE BILL 655

SB655-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB655-AA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 4: delete "special committee shall study" and substitute "joint legislative council shall direct the special committee to study".

SB655-AA1,1,5 2. Page 2, line 8: delete "special committee may study" and substitute "joint legislative council may direct the special committee to study".

SB655-AA1,1,6 3. Page 2, line 11: after that line insert:

SB655-AA1,1,12 "1m. The establishment of a state council to improve coordination among state agencies of programs that affect families; to set priorities for state agencies based on community and family needs; to consolidate funding for programs and services that affect families; and to encourage communities to form local collaborative entities to coordinate, decrease duplication of, and streamline the delivery of services provided by public and private entities to families, children, and youth.".

SB655-AA1,1,13 4. Page 3, line 12: delete lines 12 and 13 and substitute:

SB655-AA1,2,2 "7m. Identification of qualities held by successful Wisconsin families and recommendation of legislation to support those qualities.".

SB655-AA1,2,3 5. Page 4, line 7: delete "than 6" and substitute "than 4".

SB655-AA1,2,4 6. Page 4, line 13: after that line insert:

SB655-AA1,2,6 " Section 1m. 13.83 (4) of the statutes, as created by 2005 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), is repealed.

SB655-AA1, s. 2m Section 2m. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

SB655-AA1,2,10 (1) The repeal of section 13.83 (4) of the statutes takes effect on December 31, 2010.".
