AB645-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB645-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 5: before "Any person" insert "(1)".

AB645-AA1,1,3 2. Page 2, line 2: after that line insert:

AB645-AA1,1,8 "(2) It is an affirmative defense to a prosecution for a violation of sub. (1) that the defendant did not understand the officer's demand for the defendant's name because the defendant had difficulty understanding the English language. A defendant who raises this affirmative defense has the burden of proving the defense by a preponderance of the evidence.".
