SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2007 SENATE BILL 44

SB44-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB44-SA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 4: after "(fm)" insert "1.".

SB44-SA1,1,3 2. Page 2, line 4: delete "paragraph" and substitute "subdivision".

SB44-SA1,1,4 3. Page 2, line 5: after that line insert:

SB44-SA1,1,12 "2. If the defendant committed a crime and, due to the commission of the crime, the court requested the services of a court-appointed special advocate, an amount determined by the court to make a reasonable contribution surcharge to the court-appointed special advocate program that provided the services if the court determines the defendant has the financial ability to make the contribution surcharge and the contribution surcharge is appropriate. All contribution surcharges made under this subdivision shall be made to the clerk of circuit court for distribution to the court-appointed special advocate program.".
