ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 10, TO 2009 ASSEMBLY BILL 462

AB462-AA10,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB462-AA10,1,3 1. Page 2, line 2: after "provided" insert "; certain requirements for the Wisconsin Shares swipe card system;".

AB462-AA10,1,4 2. Page 23, line 23: after that line insert:

AB462-AA10,1,5 " Section 39m. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB462-AA10,1,6 (1) Swipe card system.

AB462-AA10,1,11 (a) Notwithstanding 2009 Wisconsin Act 28, section 9108 (9k), the department of children and families shall, no later than July 1, 2010, implement a program for recording and monitoring attendance under the child care subsidy program under section 49.155 of the statutes that does either of the following, whichever the department determines would be more efficient and effective:

AB462-AA10,1,12 1. Uses a fingerprinting system instead of a swipe card system.

AB462-AA10,2,4 2. To the extent permitted under federal law, uses a swipe card system that combines benefits under the child care subsidy program under section 49.155 of the statutes with the delivery of food stamp benefits under section 49.797 of the statutes on a single card.

AB462-AA10,2,8 (b) If the department of children and families determines that the swipe card system under paragraph (a) 2. would be more efficient and effective, the department of health services shall cooperate with and assist the department of children and families in implementing the system.".

AB462-AA10,2,10 3. Page 24, line 1: delete "This act" and substitute "Except for Section 39m of this act, this act".

AB462-AA10,2,11 4. Page 24, line 13: after that line insert:

AB462-AA10,2,13 "(2) Swipe card system. Section 39m of this act takes effect on the day after publication.".
