ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 4, TO 2011 ASSEMBLY BILL 23

AB23-AA4,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB23-AA4,1,4 1. Page 1, line 2: after "supplies" insert ", financial assistance to local health departments for responding to outbreaks of illness associated with the consumption of water that has not been disinfected, and making an appropriation".

AB23-AA4,1,5 2. Page 1, line 3: before that line insert:

AB23-AA4,1,6 " Section 1. 20.370 (4) (mq) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB23-AA4,1,10 20.370 (4) (mq) General program operations — environmental fund. From the environmental fund, the amounts in the schedule for administration of environmental activities under chs. 160, 281 and 283 and to provide financial assistance to local health departments under s. 281.17 (8s).".

AB23-AA4,1,11 3. Page 1, line 3: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1m".

AB23-AA4,1,12 4. Page 2, line 3: after that line insert:

AB23-AA4,1,13 " Section 2s. 281.17 (8s) of the statutes is created to read:

AB23-AA4,2,5 281.17 (8s) From the appropriation under s. 20.370 (4) (mq), the department shall provide financial assistance to local health departments for the costs incurred in responding to outbreaks of water borne illness associated with the consumption of water from municipal water systems that do not provide continuous disinfection of the water that they provide.".
