Literacy initiative; governor's task force. A task force created by the
2governor by executive order and charged with developing detailed recommendations
3for a program to assess and improve literacy in elementary school children may
4request the department of public instruction to release funding from the
5department's appropriation account under section 20.255 (1) (em) of the statutes, as
6created by this act, for use by the department to implement the recommendations of
7the task force after the governor has approved the detailed recommendations
8proposed by the task force.".
