ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 5, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2011 ASSEMBLY BILL 51

AB51-ASA1-AA5,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB51-ASA1-AA5,1,2 1. Page 5, line 25: delete that line.

AB51-ASA1-AA5,1,3 2. Page 6, line 1: delete lines 1 to 6.

AB51-ASA1-AA5,1,4 3. Page 11, line 14: after "educational" insert "service".

AB51-ASA1-AA5,1,5 4. Page 12, line 5: delete lines 5 to 20 and substitute:

AB51-ASA1-AA5,1,7 " Section 29m. 118.40 (2r) (e) 4. of the statutes, as affected by 2011 Wisconsin Act 32, is amended to read:

AB51-ASA1-AA5,2,6 118.40 (2r) (e) 4. If the chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside establishes or contracts for the establishment of a charter school under this subsection, in March the department shall pay to the unified school district in which the charter school is located, from the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (fm), an amount equal to the amount of school aid per pupil to which the unified school district is eligible in the current school year multiplied by the number of pupils attending the charter school who were previously enrolled in the unified school district, except that the payment may not exceed $1,000,000 in the 2011-12 school year and may not exceed $750,000 in the 2012-13 school year. No aid may be paid under this subdivision after the 2012-13 school year.".

AB51-ASA1-AA5,2,20 121.08 (4) (a) 1. Add the amounts paid under s. 118.40 (2r) in the current school year and subtract from that sum the sum of the reductions under s. 118.40 (2t).

AB51-ASA1-AA5, s. 66r Section 66r. 121.08 (4) (a) 2. of the statutes, as affected by 2011 Wisconsin Act 32, is amended to read:

AB51-ASA1-AA5,3,4 121.08 (4) (a) 2. Divide the sum result under subd. 1. by the total amount of state aid that all school districts are eligible to be paid from the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (ac), calculated as if the reduction under par. (b) or (br) had not occurred.".
