SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2011 SENATE BILL 226

SB226-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB226-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 11: after "event," insert "eliminating back tag requirements for deer, elk, and bear hunting,".

SB226-SA1,1,4 2. Page 5, line 5: after that line insert:

SB226-SA1,1,5 " Section 3c. 29.024 (6) (am) of the statutes is repealed.

SB226-SA1, s. 3g Section 3g. 29.024 (6) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,1,8 29.024 (6) (b) The clerk of each county appointed under par. (a) 2. or (am) 2. may accept the appointment.

SB226-SA1, s. 3m Section 3m. 29.024 (6) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,1,11 29.024 (6) (d) The department may promulgate rules regulating the activities of persons appointed under pars. par. (a) 2., 3. and 4. and (am) 2. and 3.".

SB226-SA1,1,13 " Section 5c. 29.171 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,2,2 29.171 (3) The department shall issue to each person who is issued a resident archer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

SB226-SA1, s. 5d Section 5d. 29.173 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,2,5 29.173 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a resident deer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

SB226-SA1, s. 5f Section 5f. 29.182 (4) (g) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,2,11 29.182 (4) (g) The organization known as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation shall transfer the license awarded or under par. (f) only to a person who is qualified to receive a resident elk hunting license and shall transfer to that person the carcass tag and back tag that was issued by the department to the organization under subs. sub. (6) and (7).

SB226-SA1, s. 5g Section 5g. 29.182 (7) of the statutes is repealed.

SB226-SA1, s. 5j Section 5j. 29.184 (6g) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,2,21 29.184 (6g) (c) The organization known as the Wisconsin Bear Hunters' Association, Inc., shall transfer the certificate awarded under par. (b) only to persons who are qualified to receive a Class A bear hunting license. A person who receives a certificate may present that certificate to the department and request a resident or nonresident Class A bear hunting license. Upon receipt of the certificate and the appropriate required fees, the department shall issue the holder of the certificate a resident or nonresident Class A bear hunting license and the carcass tag and back tag under subs. sub. (8) and (9).

SB226-SA1, s. 5p Section 5p. 29.184 (9) of the statutes, as affected by 2011 Wisconsin Act 28, is repealed.".

SB226-SA1,3,1 " Section 6c. 29.211 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,3,3 29.211 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a nonresident deer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

SB226-SA1, s. 6f Section 6f. 29.216 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,3,6 29.216 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a nonresident archer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.

SB226-SA1, s. 6k Section 6k. 29.231 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,3,9 29.231 (4) The department shall issue to each person who is issued a sports license a deer tag and back tag.

SB226-SA1, s. 6m Section 6m. 29.235 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB226-SA1,3,12 29.235 (4) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a conservation patron license a deer tag and back tag.".

SB226-SA1,3,13 5. Page 7, line 4: after that line insert:

SB226-SA1,3,14 " Section 7g. 29.301 (3) of the statutes is repealed.

SB226-SA1, s. 7m Section 7m. 29.561 of the statutes is repealed.".

SB226-SA1,3,16 6. Page 7, line 18: after that line insert:

SB226-SA1,3,17 " Section 9g. 29.563 (14) (bn) of the statutes is repealed.

SB226-SA1, s. 9r Section 9r. 29.563 (14) (c) 5. of the statutes is repealed.".

SB226-SA1,3,19 7. Page 11, line 9: delete "2011" and substitute "2012".
