(2m) Fraud investigation. The department of justice shall conduct an
4investigation into whether the governor or the secretary of administration, or any
5department of administration staff, violated any federal statutes or other laws, or
6committed any fraudulent acts, with respect to requests for waivers, representations
7made to the federal government, and changes that were made to BadgerCare Plus
8or any other Medical Assistance program in this state, including denying health care
9to 72,000 BadgerCare Plus recipients, as a result of the passage of the federal Patient
10Protection and Affordable Care Act. No later than March 1, 2014, the department
11of justice shall submit a report of the results of its investigation to the legislature in
12the manner provided in section 13.172 (2) of the statutes.".
