SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO 2013 SENATE BILL 1

December 3, 2013 - Offered by Joint Committee on Finance.

SB1-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB1-SA2,1,4 1. Page 6, line 10: after "et seq." insert "The department may not place on or maintain on a waiting list for services an individual who is eligible under this section.".

SB1-SA2,1,7 2. Page 6, line 21: after "et seq." insert "The department may not place on or maintain on a waiting list for services an individual who is eligible under this section.".

SB1-SA2,1,9 3. Page 16, line 18: delete "(a) (by Section 1046)" and substitute "(a) (by Section 1046)".

SB1-SA2,1,10 4. Page 16, line 19: delete "and (e)" and substitute "and (e)".

SB1-SA2,1,11 5. Page 17, line 3: after "(23)" insert "(a) (by Section 1046) and".

SB1-SA2,1,12 6. Page 22, line 21: after that line insert:

SB1-SA2,2,7 "(2m) BadgerCare Plus Core eligibility; temporary extension; benefits. (a) Beginning January 1, 2014, the department of health services shall allow individuals whose family income does not exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty line, who are receiving benefits under section 49.45 (23) of the statutes as of December 31, 2013, and who would otherwise be eligible for benefits under section 49.45 (23) of the statutes except for the income limit to be eligible to continue receiving benefits under section 49.45 (23) of the statutes until April 1, 2014.

SB1-SA2,2,11 (b) Beginning January 1, 2014, the department of health services shall provide to the individuals eligible under paragraph (a) and all individuals eligible under section 49.45 (23) of the statutes the same benefits as individuals eligible for Medical Assistance benefits under s. 49.471 (4) (a) of the statutes.".

SB1-SA2,2,13 7. Page 23, line 1: delete the material beginning with "sections" and ending with "2) and" on line 2 and substitute "section".

SB1-SA2,2,14 8. Page 23, line 2: after that line insert:

SB1-SA2,2,16 "(2m) BadgerCare Plus Core eligibility. The treatment of section 49.45 (23) (a) (by Section 2) of the statutes takes effect on January 1, 2014.".
