ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 179

AB179-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB179-AA2,1,4 1. Page 1, line 2: after "contracts" insert "and requiring the approval of the board of directors of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation of all policies of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation".

AB179-AA2,1,5 2. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

AB179-AA2,1,6 " Section 1c. 238.02 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB179-AA2,1,13 238.02 (3) A chief executive officer shall be nominated by the governor, and with the advice and consent of the senate appointed, to serve at the pleasure of the governor. The board may delegate to the chief executive officer any powers and duties the board considers proper, except that the board may not delegate to the chief executive officer any power or duty to develop or implement any policy without the board first approving the policy. The chief executive officer shall receive such compensation as may be determined by the board.

AB179-AA2,1h Section 1h. 238.02 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB179-AA2,2,6 238.02 (4) All powers and duties assigned to the corporation under this chapter shall be exercised or carried out by the board, unless the board delegates the power or duty to an employee of the corporation. The board may not delegate any power or duty to an employee of the corporation to develop or implement any policy, however, without the board first approving the policy.".

AB179-AA2,2,7 3. Page 2, line 1: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1p".
