13joint committee on finance as provided in sub. (2), a grant to both the Great Lakes
14Timber Professionals Association and the Wisconsin County Forests Association for
15a comprehensive study of the forestry practices and forest fire prevention practices
16used by the department. In order to receive the grant, the associations shall jointly
17prepare a plan as to how the grant will be expended and shall submit the plan to the
18joint committee on finance for review.
AB40-ASA1,409,2 19(2) If the cochairpersons of the joint committee on finance do not notify the
20department within 14 working days after the date that the plan under sub. (1) is
21submitted to the committee that the committee has scheduled a meeting to review
22the plan, the department may provide the grant. If, within 14 working days after the
23date of the notification by the department, the cochairpersons of the committee notify
24the department that the committee has scheduled a meeting to review the plan, the
25department may provide the grant for the study only upon approval of the committee.

1The grant shall be in the amount of $300,000 in fiscal year 2013-14 and $300,000 in
2fiscal year 2014-15.
AB40-ASA1,409,7 3(3) Upon completion of the study, the Great Lakes Timber Professionals
4Association and the Wisconsin County Forests Association shall prepare a report
