(3) (d) If an eligible elector is unable to present any identifying document
11specified under par. (a), the elector may, on the registration form, request that the
12municipal clerk verify the elector's address by mail, in the manner prescribed by the
1board. If the clerk is able to verify that the elector's address is both correct and a valid
2address for voting in the election district, the clerk shall accept the verification as
3proof of residence for purposes of this section.".".
