SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 48

SB48-SSA1-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB48-SSA1-SA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 14: after that line insert:

SB48-SSA1-SA1,1,3 " Section 5m. Nonstatutory provisions.

SB48-SSA1-SA1,1,8 (1) Study. The department of employee trust funds shall conduct an actuarial study to determine the cost that cities of various populations would incur to meet the requirements imposed by section 66.0138 of the statutes, as created by this act. By the first day of the 9th month beginning after the effective date of this subsection, the department shall report the results of the study to the joint committee on finance.

SB48-SSA1-SA1,2,2 (2) Joint committee on finance. The joint committee on finance shall review the report submitted under subsection (1 ). If the committee approves the report by the 60th day after it receives the report, Sections 1 to 4 of this act shall become law; otherwise, Sections 1 to 4 of this act shall not take effect.".
