AB554-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB554-SA2,1,2 1. Page 3, line 1: before that line insert:

AB554-SA2,1,3 " Section 1m. 66.0817 (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB554-SA2,1,6 66.0817 Sale or lease of municipal public utility plant. (intro.) A Except as provided in sub. (8), a town, village or city may sell or lease any complete public utility plant owned by it in the following manner:".

AB554-SA2,1,7 2. Page 4, line 19: after that line insert:

AB554-SA2,1,8 " Section 3m. 66.0817 (8) of the statutes is created to read:

AB554-SA2,1,11 66.0817 (8) (a) In this subsection, "out-of-state business" means a business entity that is organized or created under the laws of another state or that has its principal place of business in another state.

AB554-SA2,1,13 (b) A town, village, or city may not sell or lease to an out-of-state business any plant or portion of a plant used to provide water or sewer service.".

AB554-SA2,2,5 "(2c) The treatment of section 66.0817 (intro.) and (8) of the statutes first applies to sales under contracts entered into on the effective date of this subsection and leases entered into, or extended, modified, or renewed, on the effective date of this subsection.".
