AB78-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB78-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 8: delete lines 8 to 15 and substitute:

AB78-AA1,1,4 " Section 2g. 115.415 (1) of the statutes is renumbered 115.415 (1) (a) and amended to read:

AB78-AA1,1,12 115.415 (1) (a) The department shall develop an educator effectiveness evaluation system and an equivalency process aligned with the department's evaluation system for the evaluation of teachers and principals of public schools, including teachers and principals of a charter school established under s. 118.40 (2r), as provided in this section. Each Subject to par. (b), each school board and the governing body operator of each charter school established under s. 118.40 (2r) shall evaluate teachers and principals in the school district or charter school beginning in the 2014-15 school year.

AB78-AA1,2r Section 2r. 115.415 (1) (b) of the statutes is created to read:

AB78-AA1,2,7 115.415 (1) (b) For the evaluation of teachers and principals in the 2014-15 school year, the school board and the operator of a charter school established under s. 118.40 (2r) may not consider pupil performance on statewide assessments administered under s. 118.30 in the 2014-15 school year and may not include pupil performance on those assessments in the evaluation score assigned to a teacher or principal under the educator effectiveness evaluation system developed under this section.".
