ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO ASSEMBLY RESOLUTION 3

AR3-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the resolution as follows:

AR3-AA2,1,2 1. Page 2, line 2: before that line insert:

AR3-AA2,1,3 " Section 1. Assembly rule 14 (2) and (3) are amended to read:

AR3-AA2,1,12 Assembly Rule 14 (2) On or before Monday noon of each week or on or before Friday noon of the first week of the biennial session, the chairperson of each standing committee shall post on the assembly bulletin board and file with the chief clerk a list of the public hearings that will be are scheduled to be held before the committee during the following week, and public notice of a public hearing shall be given at least one week before the commencement of the public hearing. The announcement of any hearing shall give the day, hour, place, and nature of the business, or number, author, and relating clause of any proposal, to be considered. These lists shall be reproduced in the weekly schedule of committee activities.

AR3-AA2,2,2 (3) A hearing may not be held until copies of any of the legislation scheduled for hearing are have been available to the public for at least one week.

AR3-AA2,1m Section 1m. Assembly rule 17d (intro.) is amended to read:

AR3-AA2,2,6 Assembly Rule 17d. Executive action. (intro.) A committee may not vote on a proposal unless the proposal has been introduced, or offered, and made available to the public for at least 24 hours 7 days excluding:".
