ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 261

AB261-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB261-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 10: before “intersection" insert “northernmost".

AB261-AA1,1,4 2. Page 3, line 20: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 4, line 2.

AB261-AA1,1,6 3. Page 4, line 5: delete the material beginning with “without" and ending with “Milwaukee" on line 6.

AB261-AA1,1,7 4. Page 4, line 9: delete that line and substitute:

AB261-AA1,1,13 “(4m) Removal of obstructions. (a) If a person who intends to use the route described in sub. (2) for a high-wide load notifies a political subdivision in which any portion of the route is located of this intent, the political subdivision, not later than 5 days after receiving an intent notification, shall notify persons who own conflicting obstructions to the use of the route by a high-wide load that the conflicting obstructions must be removed.

AB261-AA1,2,5 (b) Not later than 8 business days after receiving a removal notification under par. (a) from a political subdivision, the owner of a conflicting obstruction to the use of the route described in sub. (2) by a high-wide load shall remove the obstruction. No person may replace a conflicting obstruction removed under this paragraph until the use of the route for which the removal was required has been completed.” .

AB261-AA1,2,7 5. Page 4, line 12: delete the material beginning with “issuing" and ending with “or" on line 13.

AB261-AA1,2,8 6. Page 4, line 14: delete lines 14 to 16.

AB261-AA1,2,9 7. Page 5, line 3: after that line insert:

AB261-AA1,2,11 “(7) Other law. This section does not affect the limitations on size, weight, and load under ch. 348.”.
