ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 269

AB269-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB269-AA2,1,6 1. Page 3, line 2: after “resolution." insert “The school board may direct the school district clerk to call a special election on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November in an odd-numbered year for the purpose of submitting the resolution to the electors for approval or rejection, provided the special election is held not earlier than 70 days after the adoption of the resolution.".

AB269-AA2,1,7 2. Page 4, line 10: delete “subd. 2." and substitute “ subds. 2. and 3.".

AB269-AA2,1,8 3. Page 4, line 23: after that line insert:

AB269-AA2,1,9 “ Section 7m. 121.91 (3) (a) 3. of the statutes is created to read:

AB269-AA2,1,13 121.91 (3) (a) 3. The school board of a school district may call a special referendum to be held on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November in an odd-numbered year, provided the special referendum is to be held not sooner than 70 days after the filing of the resolution of the school board under subd. 1.”.

AB269-AA2,2,1 4. Page 5, line 13: delete lines 13 and 14 and substitute:

AB269-AA2,2,4 “(1g) The treatment of section 67.05 (6a) (a) 2. a. and c. and (am) 1. of the statutes first applies to a resolution to issue a bond adopted by the school board of a school district on the effective date of this subsection.

AB269-AA2,2,9 (1r) The treatment of section 121.91 (3) (c) of the statutes, the renumbering and amendment of section 121.91 (3) (a) of the statutes, and the creation of section 121.91 (3) (a) 2. and 3. of the statutes first apply to a resolution to exceed the revenue limit under section 121.91 (2m) of the statutes adopted by the school board of a school district on the effective date of this subsection.”.
