AB490-SA1,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by assembly substitute amendment 1, as follows:

AB490-SA1,1,4 “ Section 1m. 66.0602 (3) (am) of the statutes is created to read:

AB490-SA1,2,2 66.0602 (3) (am) If a political subdivision unilaterally transfers a service to another governmental unit without entering an intergovernmental agreement, or any other formal agreement, the levy increase limit otherwise applicable under this section to the political subdivision in the current year is decreased to reflect the cost that the political subdivision would have incurred to provide that service in the current year, and the levy increase limit otherwise applicable under this section to the other governmental unit in the current year is increased to reflect the cost of that service, as determined by the department of revenue. Any person may file a challenge to the department of revenue's determination, on a form prepared by the department for that purpose. The department of revenue shall respond in writing to the person who filed the challenge not later than 30 days after receipt of the form.”.
