AB553-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB553-AA1,1,2 1. Page 5, line 8: delete “Definition." and substitute “Definitions.".

AB553-AA1,1,3 2. Page 5, line 9: delete “section, “employee”" and substitute “section:

AB553-AA1,1,4 (a) “Employee”".

AB553-AA1,1,5 3. Page 5, line 11: after that line insert:

AB553-AA1,1,7 “(b) 1. “Virtual space” means a forum utilizing electronic technology that satisfies all of the following:

AB553-AA1,1,11 a. It enables participants who are not in each other's physical presence to communicate with each other simultaneously by sight and sound to conduct a meeting or gathering, have a discussion, hold an event, or otherwise convey information and ideas with each other in real time.

AB553-AA1,1,13 b. It is under the control or supervision of the institution or is being used for an institution-authorized purpose or activity.

AB553-AA1,2,2 2. “Virtual space” does not include a virtual classroom while it is in use for instructional purposes.”.
