Section 9. 440.65 of the statutes is created to read:

7440.65 Notification of required curriculum. Any school or specialty school
8licensed by the department under this subchapter shall inform all students of the
9requirements to complete a course on human trafficking to qualify for licensure
10under ss. 454.06 (1) (d) and 454.23 (2) (f) and the requirements to complete a course
11on human trafficking to renew licensure under ss. 454.12 (2) and 454.265 (2).

12Section 10. 454.06 (1) (d) of the statutes is created to read:

(1) (d) The applicant completes a course on human trafficking offered
2by a cosmetology school or a specialty school under s. 440.62 (5) (b) 1m. or a course
3on human trafficking that is offered or endorsed by a state or federal agency and
4approved by the department.

5Section 11. 454.06 (8) of the statutes is amended to read:

(8) Expiration and renewal. The renewal date for licenses issued under
7subs. (2) to (6) is specified under s. 440.08 (2) (a), and the renewal fees for such
8licenses are determined by the department under s. 440.03 (9) (a). The examining
9board may not renew a license issued to a person under subs. (2) to (6) unless the
10person
satisfies s. 454.12 (2) and certifies to the examining board that the person has
11reviewed the current digest under s. 454.125.
