SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 325

SB325-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB325-SA1,1,2 1. Page 5, line 19: delete lines 19 and 20 and substitute:

SB325-SA1,1,4 “a. Projects that include at least 25 percent matching funds, and shall give higher priority to projects with more than 25 percent matching funds.” .

SB325-SA1,1,5 2. Page 6, line 15: delete lines 15 to 20 and substitute:

SB325-SA1,1,6 “ Section 12. 196.504 (2) (c) 1. g. and h. of the statutes are created to read:

SB325-SA1,1,11 196.504 (2) (c) 1. g. Projects designed to provide fiber optic Internet service directly to the end user in geographic areas where the cost to deploy fiber optic Internet is below the extremely high cost per location threshold established by this state for the purpose being eligible for federal funding under the broadband, equity, access, and deployment program authorized under 47 USC 1702.

SB325-SA1,2,6 (1) Broadband expansion grant program. The provisions of the broadband expansion grant program under s. 196.504 do not apply to any grant program created with federal funding received under the broadband, equity, access, and deployment program authorized under 47 USC 1702.”.
