Bobby said he learned fire safety watching a Sesame Street video. Despite the heavy smoke from the fire, Bobby dressed himself and his sister for the 30 degree below zero temperatures and lead his sister to safety outside the burning home. Firefighters noted that smoke from the electrical fire was so heavy that had anyone breathed the fumes, they would not have survived. Bobby was honored for his bravery by the Mason Fire Department and his story has been submitted to the Wisconsin State Fire Chief's Association.
