Representative Jeskewitz led the membership in reciting the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

Representative Jeskewitz introduced the Choir and Bell Choir from St. Agnes School in Butler, who performed the "Star Spangled Banner" for the members of the Assembly. The students were accompanied by their Principal, Jayme Hartmann, who is Representative Jeskewitz's daughter.
