Representative Freese requested a call of the Assembly. There were sufficient seconds.
The Sergeant-at-Arms was directed to close the doors and the Chief Clerk to call the roll.
The Chief Clerk called the roll. The Chief Clerk reported three members were absent without leave, Representatives Boyle, Hubler and Staskunas.
The Chief Clerk reported that only one member was absent without leave, Representative Boyle.
Under Assembly Rule
86 (1), the Assembly continued with other business under the call of the Assembly.

Senate Bill 272
Relating to: local government telecommunications utilities and public hearings for ordinances and resolutions authorizing local government cable television, telecommunications, and Internet access facilities.
Representative Foti moved that the rules be suspended and that Senate Bill 272 be taken up at this time.

Representative Hubler rose to the point of order that the motion to suspend the rules and take up
Senate Bill 272 required a two-thirds vote. Although the bill was made a special order of business under Assembly Rule
33, other bills were pending as special orders for an earlier time.
