As you know, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction Elizabeth Burmaster has appointed me as the Assistant State Superintendent for the Division of Libraries, Technology and Community Learning. Therefore, I hereby submit my resignation as State Senator from the 7th Senate District, effective as of 8:00 A.M. January 13, 2003.
