The Senate met.
The Senate was called to order by Senator Alan Lasee.
The roll was called and the following Senators answered to their names:

The Senate stood for the prayer which was offered by Senator Thomas Reynolds.
The Senate remained standing and Senator Carpenter led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
Senator Schultz, with unanimous consent, asked that Senator Grothman be granted a leave of absence for part of today's session.
Senator Schultz, with unanimous consent, asked that Senator Harsdorf be granted a leave of absence for today's session.
