Senator Lassa, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Joanie M. Wesenberg of the town of Sigel, who passed away on April 14, 2006. Joanie was a homemaker who also volunteered and was a member of many organizations in the Wisconsin Rapids area. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Senator Robson, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of her interns Caroline Poduch, Chris Pearson, Chesley Tubbs, Jessica Wartenweiler, John Crone, and Laura Gestaut. These students worked extremely hard to aid the constituents of the 15th Senate District. They have gotten to experience the full spectrum of working in a legislative office, and Senator Robson appreciates their service.

Senator Schultz, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Ralph Hearn who passed away April 28, 2006. Ralph led a life of dedication to his family and served his community generously. Ralph graduated from Reedsburg High School and went on to Sauk County Teachers College. In addition to raising two daughters with his first wife LaRetta, Ralph undertook various occupations. For many years he taught in the Sauk County rural schools and later operated a dairy farm in Wigwam Valley. Ralph was a pioneer in law enforcement by becoming the first Juvenile Officer in the state of Wisconsin when he joined the Sauk County Sheriffs Department in 1961. He later became the Sauk County Sheriff in 1968. After he retired in 1975 he went on to be a Patient Care Expeditor for the Tri-County Human Services Center for 11 years. During that time LaRetta passed away and sometime later he married Katherine Schulenburg. Ralph Hearn will long be remembered as a loving husband and father and for serving his community knowledgeably and faithfully.
