Dear Speaker Sheridan:
Assembly Bill 542, authored by Representative Jason Fields, was jointly referred to the Committees on Urban and Local Affairs and the Joint Survey Committee on Retirement Systems.
According to ss. 13.50, because this bill does not affect the Wisconsin Employee Trust Fund, it is not necessary the bill be heard by the Joint Survey Committee on Retirement Systems. I am therefore suggesting that in the interest of expediency during these final weeks of session the bill be withdrawn from the Joint Survey Committee and allowed to proceed.
The Assembly Committee on Urban and Local Affairs unanimously recommended passage of AB 542 in February; you may wish to schedule this bill for the next Assembly calendar.
Sincerely,
Mary Hubler
State Representative
75th Assembly District
