Senator Olsen, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Margaret B. “Marge” Schneider, mother of former Senate Chief Clerk Donald Schneider, who recently passed away.
Senator Shilling, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of her son, Zachary, who turns 5 on November 21, 2013.
Senator Schultz, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Frank Shadewald, who passed away recently in Richland Center. Frank was an amazing person and friend who spent and enormous amount of his time and money preserving a Native American burial and effigy mound north of Muscoda, known as the Corn Woman, which is visited by thousands of people.

Senator Miller, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Maureen Wakeen, an Advanced Practice Provider with the UW Health Nephrology Department in Fitchburg. Ms. Wakeen was recently among the first recipients of the UW Health Advanced Practice Provider Excellence Award. Senator Miller asked that the Wisconsin State Senate join him in congratulating Maureen Wakeen on this recognition by her colleagues.
Senator Miller, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of the Senate pages for whom this is their last floor session in the 2013-2014 session. Senator Miller would like to extend his, and the Senate’s, gratitude for their service to the body.

It was a pleasure to work with Sanchit over the past two years and has helped the Senator on a number of crucial issues and has become an invaluable member of the team. Sanchit displayed exceptional leadership when he oversaw the raw milk legislation. Senator Schultz would like to wish Sanchit luck in his future endeavors at the University of Wisconsin Extension. He is a bright, talented, young professional, with a promising future ahead of him.
