Announcements, Adjournment Honors, and Remarks Under
Special Privilege
Senator Erpenbach, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Randall Bartells, who died on February 20th, 2014. Randy served on the Senate Sergeant’s staff for 20 years and was a fixture for those who have been around the building for a while. His whole life, Randy lived with cerebral palsy, but he never let his disability define him. He worked locally to improve Madison Public Transit and was a true activist at heart. Bart will be greatly missed.
Senator Erpenbach, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Tryg and Pam Knutson. Tryg became Randy’s caretaker. He helped him with his finances, making sure he was always staffed, and finding him transportation.
Senator Wirch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Paul Jaeger. Paul was a longtime Wisconsin Cooperative Extension Agriculture Agent in Kenosha County. He was just a good guy. Even after he retired, Paul worked at the Kenosha Dairy Breakfast and Kenosha county Fair. He will be missed by all his friends.
Senator Wirch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Roger Lemnus. Roger was a teacher, principal, and administrator at McKinley Middle School. After he retired, Roger was a volunteer medic, EMT, and lay leader at his church.
Senator Lassa, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Susan Lemke, the Transit Director of the City of Stevens Point, who today received the Outstanding Public Service Award from the Wisconsin Urban and Rural Transit Association.
