The Honorable Robin Vos
Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly
Room 211 West, State Capitol
Madison, WI 53708
Dear Speaker Vos:
I am writing this letter today to officially inform you of my decision to resign my position as State Representative for the 69th District in the Wisconsin State Assembly. My resignation will be effective September 3rd, 2013 at 5:00 pm.
Mr. Speaker, it has been a true honor to have been given the opportunity to serve as an elected member of this esteemed body. I have also been very fortunate to have been granted the further honor of being elected to the position of Majority Leader for two legislative sessions by my colleagues. My fourteen years in the State Assembly have been a wonderful learning experience and gave me the opportunity to enact positive, meaningful reforms for our great state. I leave my position as an elected member of this institution knowing that Wisconsin will continue to be well-served by members of both parties, many of whom I am honored to have called both my colleagues and my friends. I will always treasure the wonderful friendships I have made as a member of this body.
I would especially like to thank the wonderful people who graciously afforded me this opportunity time and time again, the people of the 69th Assembly District. It was an honor to have served the farming area where I was born and raised for seven terms. I thank them for placing their confidence in me to represent their interests, their patience and understanding as I made tough decisions, and the trust they continually placed in me as their State Representative. I will never forget their generosity.
I also wish my successor as Representative to the 69th District all the best as well as your new Majority Leader. If I can be of any assistance during this transition period, please do not hesitate to call upon me.
Thank you again and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Scott Suder
Assembly Majority Leader
