SB205,1,3 1An Act to create 125.32 (8) of the statutes; relating to: requiring Class "B" and
2"Class B" licensees to maintain employment records on the licensed premises
3and to make such records available for inspection.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law requires every brewer, manufacturer, bottler, rectifier, wholesaler
or retailer of alcohol beverages to make the books, papers and records of that
business available to any authorized employes of the department of justice and the
department of revenue and any sheriff, police officer, marshal or constable, within
their respective jurisdictions, for the purpose of determining compliance with this
state's alcohol beverage laws. Any refusal to permit such examination is sufficient
grounds for revocation or suspension of any license or permit granted for the sale of
alcohol beverages.
This bill specifies that any person licensed to sell alcohol beverages at retail for
consumption on the premises where sold is required to maintain current
employment and personnel records on the licensed premises whenever open for
business, and must make those records available for inspection.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB205, s. 1 4Section 1. 125.32 (8) of the statutes is created to read:
SB205,2,4
1125.32 (8) Employe records to be kept on premises. Every Class "B" and "Class
