AR7,1,1 1Relating to: the life and public service of Georgia Jean Schneider.
AR7,1,42 Whereas, Georgia Jean Schneider was born on August 17, 1951, in Madison,
3Wisconsin to Ralph and Shirley Johansen and died on June 26, 2002, in Madison,
4Wisconsin; and
AR7,1,55 Whereas, Georgia graduated from Madison East High School in 1969; and
AR7,1,76 Whereas, Georgia and State Representative Marlin Schneider were united in
7marriage on July 14, 1973; and
AR7,1,98 Whereas, Georgia was a loving and supportive wife to Marlin and devoted
9mother to their two daughters, Jeanine and Molly; and
AR7,1,1310 Whereas, Georgia was a dedicated public servant who was a long-time
11employee of the Wisconsin Legislature having worked for legislators for over 29 years
12and most recently worked as an education specialist for the Wisconsin Department
13of Public Instruction; and
AR7,2,214 Whereas, Georgia will be remembered by her family, friends, and all who knew
15her as a warm, loving, and cheerful person who freely gave to others her time, talents,

1and friendship and as a woman whose positive spirit helped to uplift others even
2during her battle with cancer; now therefore, be it
AR7,2,6 3Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin assembly
4commend the devoted public service that Georgia J. Schneider gave to this state,
5express their sorrow at her death, and extend their deepest sympathies and
6condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
AR7,2,9 7Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this resolution
8to Georgia's husband, Marlin, and her two daughters, Jeanine and Molly, and her
9parents Ralph and Shirley Johansen.
