AB468,1,3 1An Act to renumber and amend 15.497 (2); and to create 15.497 (2) (d) of the
2statutes; relating to: adding one representative of the Wisconsin chapter of the
3Paralyzed Veterans of America to the council on veterans programs.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law the council on veterans programs (council) advises the board
of veterans affairs and the department of veterans affairs (DVA) on solutions and
policy alternatives relating to the problems of veterans. The council is attached to
DVA and consists of members of various veterans organizations, all of whom are
appointed for one-year terms.
This bill adds one representative of the Wisconsin chapter of the Paralyzed
Veterans of America to the council.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

2department of veterans affairs a council on veterans programs consisting of one all

4that each member represents:

6the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Marine Corps
7League, the Navy Club of the U.S.A., the Veterans of World War II (AMVETS), the
8Veterans of World War I of the U.S.A., Inc., the American Ex-prisoners of War, the
9Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Inc., the Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc., the
10Catholic War Veterans of the U.S.A., the Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A., the
11Polish Legion of American Veterans, the National Association for Black Veterans,
12Inc., the Army and Navy Union of the United States of America, the Wisconsin
13Association of Concerned Veteran Organizations, the United Women Veterans, Inc.,
