AB483,1,2 1An Act to create 84.1041 of the statutes; relating to: designating STH 122 as
2the Walt Bresette Memorial Highway.

This bill directs the department of transportation to designate and mark the
entire route of STH 122 as the "Walt Bresette Memorial Highway" in recognition and
appreciation of the life of Walt Bresette, a member of the Red Cliff band of the Lake
Superior Chippewa who was active on issues concerning social justice, the
environment, and tribal sovereignty.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB483, s. 1 3Section 1. 84.1041 of the statutes is created to read:
AB483,2,3 484.1041 Walt Bresette Memorial Highway. The department shall
5designate and mark the route of STH 122, commencing at STH 77 at Upson and
6proceeding northerly to the Wisconsin-Michigan border in Iron County, as the "Walt
7Bresette Memorial Highway" in recognition and appreciation of the life of Walt

1Bresette, a member of the Red Cliff band of the Lake Superior Chippewa who worked
2passionately on issues concerning social justice, the environment, and tribal
3sovereignty.
