AB636,1,2 1An Act relating to: recycling education, research concerning solid waste, and
2making appropriations.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill provides funding from the recycling fund to the University of
Wisconsin System for recycling education and technical assistance and for research
into alternative methods of managing solid waste.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB636, s. 1 3Section 1. Appropriation changes.
AB636,2,24 (1) Extension recycling education. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3)
5of the statutes for the appropriation to the board of regents of the University of
6Wisconsin System under section 20.285 (1) (tb) of the statutes, as affected by the acts
7of 2001, the dollar amount is increased by $336,900 for fiscal year 2001-02 and the
8dollar amount is increased by $336,900 for fiscal year 2002-03 to increase funding

1for the purpose for which the appropriation is made and to provide funding for 4.0
2FTE SEG positions previously authorized.
AB636,2,93 (2) Solid waste research and experiments. In the schedule under section
420.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the board of regents of the
5University of Wisconsin System under section 20.285 (1) (tm) of the statutes, as
6affected by the acts of 2001, the dollar amount is increased by $154,900 for fiscal year
72001-02 and the dollar amount is increased by $154,900 for fiscal year 2002-03 to
8increase funding for the purposes for which the appropriation is made and to provide
9funding for 0.5 FTE SEG position previously authorized.
