2the Civilian Conservation Corps Heritage Highway.

This bill directs the department of transportation to designate and mark the
entire route of STH 70 as the "Civilian Conservation Corps Heritage Highway" to
honor the members of the Civilian Conservation Corps for their service and
contributions to the conservation of the natural resources of this state and this
nation between 1933 and 1942.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB703, s. 1 3Section 1. 84.1041 of the statutes is created to read:
AB703,2,6 484.1041 Civilian Conservation Corps Heritage Highway. The
5department shall designate and mark the route of STH 70, commencing at USH
62/141 at Florence and proceeding westerly to the Wisconsin-Minnesota border in
7Burnett County, as the "Civilian Conservation Corps Heritage Highway" to

1commemorate and honor the members of the Civilian Conservation Corps for their
2service and contributions to the conservation of the natural resources of this state
3and this nation between 1933 and 1942. The department shall erect markers at
4regular intervals along the route, including at appropriate areas historical markers,
5to clearly identify to motorists the designation of the highway in commemoration of
6the Civilian Conservation Corps.
