SJR29,1,2 1Relating to: requesting the congressional delegation from Wisconsin to urge
2Congress to pass President Bush's tax relief plan.
SJR29,1,43 Whereas, federal taxes are the highest that they have ever been during
4peacetime; and
SJR29,1,55 Whereas, all taxpayers should be allowed to keep more of their own money; and
SJR29,1,76 Whereas, the best way to encourage economic growth is to cut marginal tax
7rates across all tax brackets; and
SJR29,1,98 Whereas, under current tax law, low-income workers often pay the highest
9marginal rates; and
SJR29,1,1110 Whereas, the American people have not received real tax relief in a generation;
11and
SJR29,1,1312 Whereas, President Bush's tax relief plan will contribute to raising the
13standard of living for all Americans; and
SJR29,2,214 Whereas, President Bush's tax relief plan will increase access to the middle
15class for hard-working families, treat all middle-class families more fairly,

1encourage entrepreneurship and growth, and promote charitable giving and
2education; and
SJR29,2,43 Whereas, under President Bush's tax relief plan, the largest percentage
4reductions will go to the lowest-income earners; now, therefore, be it
SJR29,2,9 5Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the legislature of
6the state of Wisconsin requests the members of the congressional delegation from
7this state to urge Congress to support and work to pass the tax relief plan introduced
8by President Bush, which includes across-the-board reductions in marginal rates,
9elimination of the death tax, and reduction of the marriage penalty; and, be it further
SJR29,2,11 10Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall send a copy of this joint resolution
11to each member of the congressional delegation from this state.
