SJR44,1,3 Relating to: expressing the Wisconsin legislature's support for our troops and the use of all force necessary to accomplish this nation's goal of ridding the world of the threat of terrorism.

SJR44,1,5 Whereas, September 11, 2001, terrorist forces committed multiple acts of war against the United States of America; and

SJR44,1,7 Whereas, the people of the state of Wisconsin mourn the thousands of innocent citizens viciously killed in these attacks; and

SJR44,1,9 Whereas, the U.S. Congress overwhelmingly authorized the President to use force against these terrorists; and

SJR44,1,11 Whereas, the American way of life depends upon American leadership to ensure its existence for future generations; now, therefore, be it

SJR44,1,14 Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the Wisconsin legislature expresses its support for the use of all force necessary to accomplish this nation's goal of ridding the world of the threat of terrorism; and, be it further

SJR44,2,2 Resolved, That the Wisconsin legislature expresses its support for our troops; and, be it further

SJR44,2,7 Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint resolution to the President of the United States, to the president and the secretary of the U.S. senate, to the speaker and clerk of the U.S. house of representatives, and to each member of the congressional delegation from this state attesting the adoption of this joint resolution by the 2001 legislature of the state of Wisconsin.
